The Vitruvian Man explores the idea of proportion. Part work of art and part mathematical diagram, it conveys the his belief that “everything connects to everything else.” Ingeniously, the man depicted on this recycled tota bag with four legs and four arms, allows him to strike 16 poses simultaneously. the artist describes the model body as fractions: “The distance from the bottom of the chin to the nose and from the roots of the hair to the eyebrows is, in each case the same, and like the ear, a third of the face”.
